Wiskott Aldrich syndrome is an X-linked recessive disorder characterized by thrombocytopenia with microplatelets, eczema, recurrent infections, and predisposition to autoimmune disease and malignancy. It is a rare syndrome, and the incidence rate is approximately 4 in every 1 million live male births with no clear ethnic or racial predilection. The purpose of this paper was to report a case of Wiskott Aldrich syndrome with oral involvement demonstrated by 2 male siblings.

What Is The Evidence For Paediatric Dental Sedation?

Sedation can be used to relieve anxiety and manage behaviour in children, unfortunately it is difficult to determine from published research which agents, dosages and techniques are effective. To evaluate the relative efficacy of the various conscious sedation techniques and dosages for behaviour management in paediatric dentistry. Design and key methods: Relevant databases and reference lists from articles were searched up to December 2005. Studies were selected if they met the following criteria: randomised controlled trials of conscious sedation comparing two or more drugs/techniques/placebo undertaken by the dentist or one of the dental team in anxious children up to 16 years of age. Sixty-five studies were included with 3372 subjects in total. Overall quality of studies was found to be disappointing with poor reporting often the main problem. -

To evaluate and compare the water sorption and water solubility of four self-etching, self-adhesive resin luting agents. Four self-etching, self-adhesive resin luting agents (RelyX Unicem, Maxcem, Biscem, Multilink Sprint) and one classic resin luting agent (Multilink Automix) as a control group were used. Twelve disks (8 mm x 1 mm) of each material were prepared according to ISO 4049. Water sorption and solubility were calculated, using
the formulae which the ISO 4049 specification provides. -
Water Sorption and Solubility of Dentin Bonding Agents Light-Cured...

The aim of this study was to compare water sorption (WS) and solubility (WSB) of
different dentin bonding agents (DBA) as regards classification and light-activation system.
The null hypotheses were: (1) there is no difference among DBA with respect to water
sorption and solubility; (2) there is no effect of light-curing source on water sorption and
solubility of DBA. The tested materials were: three-step etch-and-rinse (ScotchBond multi-purpose and Heliobond—control groups), two-step etch-and-rinse (Excite, Adper Single Bond, Adper Single Bond 2), self-etching (Adhse) and all-in-one (Xeno III) systems.
