Medan, June 2, 2026 – The Library of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) once again presents an information literacy development program for its academic community through a webinar entitled “Empowering Your Research with Elsevier ScienceDirect.” Organized in collaboration with Elsevier, the webinar will be held online on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (WIB) via Zoom Meeting.

The webinar aims to enhance participants’ understanding and skills in utilizing ScienceDirect, one of the world’s leading scientific information platforms that provides access to research articles, journals, and academic publications across various disciplines. Through this activity, participants are expected to optimize their search for relevant scholarly literature and strengthen the quality of their research and academic publications.

The webinar will feature Pradipta Faikar Hakim, Customer Success Manager of Elsevier Southeast Asia, as the keynote speaker. He will share valuable insights and best practices on effectively utilizing ScienceDirect to support research and learning activities within higher education institutions.

This event is specifically intended for the USU academic community, including students, lecturers, researchers, and educational staff who wish to improve their ability to access and make use of reliable scientific information resources. Through the organization of this webinar, the USU Library hopes to continue supporting the improvement of research quality and scientific publications within the university while encouraging the optimal utilization of available electronic resources to advance academic activities and the development of knowledge.
