The USU Library held a farewell and prayer gathering for Prof. Dr. Syahril Efendi and other Universitas Sumatera Utara hajj pilgrims departing for the 1447 H/2026 pilgrimage season.

Wednesday, April 15, 2026 – The Library of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) extended its congratulations and prayers to the Head of the USU Library, Prof. Dr. Syahril Efendi, together with his wife and all Universitas Sumatera Utara hajj pilgrims who will depart for the Holy Land during this year’s hajj season.

 

The message of support and prayer was conveyed as a form of encouragement and appreciation for members of the USU academic community who have been granted the opportunity to perform the fifth pillar of Islam. The departure for hajj has become a moment of happiness and pride for the entire Universitas Sumatera Utara community.

 

The USU Library expressed hope that all hajj pilgrims will be granted good health, safety, smooth journeys, and ease in completing every stage of worship in the Holy Land. In addition, the pilgrims are expected to perform their worship solemnly and return home safely as mabrur hajj pilgrims.
