In her address, the Head of the Library invited everyone to reflect on the spirit of the Five Pledges of the Indonesian Civil Servants Corps (Panca Prasetya Korpri) as a moral oath and commitment of state civil servants in public service, dedication to the nation, and work integrity—values that must serve as the foundation in every step within USU.
She emphasized that the library, as a pathway of knowledge connecting the past, present, and future, requires synergy from all elements of the university (lecturers, students, and education staff) to function optimally. The library is committed to providing collections, global information access, digital literacy, research support, and lifelong learning spaces, but all of this can only be achieved through strong collaboration.
Her address concluded with an African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Let us build USU together as a beacon of knowledge, a center of civilization, and the best place for the nation’s future generations.
