In addition, this activity also aims to encourage students to have high self-confidence and establish relationships between students, lecturers, and education staff. In general, the PKKMB activity material consists of Fostering National Defense Awareness, National and State Life, Fostering the National Mental Revolution Movement, Higher Education in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and the Higher Education System in Indonesia.
In the activity which took the theme, “Giving Birth to a Generation of Stars Who Can Compete in the Global Level in the Era of Revolution 4.0”, a mass Ahooi Gymnastics was also held involving 9,231 participants consisting of new students and USU academics. The mass gymnastics finally managed to break the MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) Record for the category of the most Ahooi Gymnastics using Sortali.
The participation of the USU Library in this activity was to deliver material about the USU Library in general which was delivered by the Library Orientation Team chaired by the Head of the University Library Dr. Jonner Hasugian, M.Sc., whose members were Murniaty, Syakirin Pangaribuan, Nurdin Salmi, Elisa Ekaningsih, Evi Yulfimar, Junaida, Sundari, Irna Maulina Siregar, Juli Handayani, Vivi Wahyuni, Franz Adytia Lesmana Ginting, Mas Irwansyah Putra, Netty Handayani, Juli Purnawati, Ray Ansyari Margolang, Hery Satria Nasution and Pangky Moanda.
This team carried out orientation activities for two days, namely August 19-20, 2019 in all faculties at USU with a total of 9,166 New Students. This activity has been running smoothly and successfully.
