MEDAN – The University of Sumatra Utara Library participated in the PKKMB (Introduction to Campus Life for New Students) event at the University of Sumatra Utara which was officially opened by the Rector of the University of North Sumatra Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, S.H., M.Hum. on August 27, 2018 at the USU Mini Stadium Jl. Alma Mater USU Padang Bulan Campus Medan. The new students who participated in the 2018 USU PKKMB came from the SNMPTN, SBMPTN, Mandiri and Diploma entrance selections spread across 14 faculties or 54 study programs at USU.

The USU Library formed a library orientation team led by the Head of the USU Library Dr. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si. This team conducted Library orientation activities for new students from August 27 to August 29, 2018, in all faculties at USU.

The purpose and objective of this activity is so that new students can utilize all the facilities and infrastructure available at the USU Library as much as possible, where the existence of the USU Library is essentially aimed at helping students complete their studies.

The team consists of Mr. Drs. Syakirin Pangaribuan, S.H as Deputy Head of the USU Library, Drs. Nurdin Salmi, M.Sc., Murniaty S.Sos., Elisa Ekaningsih S.Sos., Evi Yulfimar S.Sos., Junaida S.Sos., Sundari S.Sos., Irna Maulina Siregar S.Sos., Yuli Handayani S.Sos., Netty Handayani S.Sos., Juli Purnawati S.Sos., Mas Irwan Syahputra S.Sos., Ray Ansyari Margolang S.T, Frans Aditya Lesmana Ginting S.Sos, Indra Satria Luhur S.Sos and Pangky Moanda.
