Thursday, April 9, 2026 — A researcher from Poland, Slawomir Swiatecki of Silesian University, has once again visited the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library to continue his academic research focusing on history and social dynamics in North Sumatra.
This marks Swiatecki’s second visit as part of his effort to deepen his scholarly work. His previous research produced significant findings, encouraging further exploration through the extensive literature collections available at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library.
During the visit, Swiatecki highlighted the strategic role of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library as a key reference center for international-level research. The diversity of its collections, along with the availability of local sources, has made it a valuable resource in supporting his study.
The visit also underscores the function of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library not merely as a place for reading, but as an essential hub for advancing global research. The presence of international researchers is expected to strengthen academic networks and enhance the global visibility of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Through this momentum, the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library continues to encourage students, academics, and the wider community to make full use of its facilities and collections to support learning and research activities.
