MEDAN – The University of Sumatra Utara Library can now borrow and return books independently without the help of an operator. This is possible because the USU Library now has a Self-Loan Station and a Self-Return Station.

The existence of this tool is intended to make it easier for USU academics to carry out book borrowing and return transactions. Especially for Self-Return (Self Check-in), it can be done at any time even though the Library is closed, because this tool is outside but easily accessible to users.

Both of these tools are on the second floor of the University of North Sumatra Library Building. It’s just that the location is different. The Self-Loan Station is in the Borrowing room, so it can only be used during service hours, while the Self-Return Station is near the East door of the USU Library Building, and it can be used at any time even though the Library is closed.

Below we attach how to use the Mandiri Loan Kiosk and Mandiri Return Kiosk.
