Medan, September 17, 2026 – The USU Library conducted the 2026 USU Library Accreditation Preparation Simulation as part of its efforts to ensure the readiness of all work units in preparation for the library accreditation process. The activity was held over three days, Monday–Wednesday, September 14–16, 2026, at the USU Library.

The simulation began with an opening session led by the Secretary of the USU Library, Sundari, S.Sos., M.Si. The event was subsequently facilitated by Murniaty, S.Sos. and Evi Yulfimar, S.Sos. The simulation was attended by the Manager of Library Services, Irna Maulina Siregar, S.Sos.; Manager of Information Technology and Technical Support, Ray Ansyari Margolang, S.T.; as well as coordinators and staff serving as Person in Charge (PIC) for the USU Library Accreditation.

The simulation was conducted to provide the PICs with an overview of the processes and mechanisms that will be encountered during the accreditation process. Throughout the activity, participants conducted simulations of information delivery, reviewed document readiness, and discussed various aspects included in the library accreditation assessment.

Through this simulation, managers, coordinators, and staff were able to gain a clearer understanding of their respective duties and responsibilities, while also identifying areas that still require improvement and further preparation prior to the accreditation process.

The three-day activity also served as a platform to strengthen coordination, communication, and synergy among divisions within the USU Library. The involvement of the PICs is expected to ensure that all data, documents, services, facilities and infrastructure, as well as other supporting aspects, are prepared systematically.

Through the 2026 USU Library Accreditation Preparation Simulation, the USU Library continues to strengthen the readiness of its entire team in improving the quality of library management and services. The activity also served as an opportunity to establish a shared understanding and strengthen the collective commitment to supporting the accreditation process.

With coordinated preparation, the USU Library strives to ensure that all elements required for the accreditation process are properly prepared, while supporting continuous improvement in service quality for the entire USU academic community.
