MEDAN – The University of Sumatra Utara (USU) Library conducted an Internal Quality Audit Simulation accompanied by ISO 9001: 2015 Consultant Riski Melati, S.Sos. This simulation is the final series of ISO 9001: 205 Certification Internal Quality Audit Training activities carried out for two days since February 3, 2020.

In this simulation, Murniaty, S.Sos., simulated as Lead Auditor accompanied by other Auditors namely Syakirin Pangaribuan, Elisa Ekaningsih, Evi Yulfimar, and Sundari. While the audited field in this simulation is the Subdivision of Administration with Mr. Rasiman as the Auditee.

To get a situation similar to the real situation, the training participants agreed that the audit activities were carried out in the actual room. This will be useful later so that participants who will become Auditors or auditors can understand the implementation of Internal Quality Audits as well as possible.

The simulation, which took place on the second floor of the Administration Room, lasted about an hour, starting at 14.00 WIB. Auditors and Auditees can carry out their roles quite well. Occasionally Riski Melati as the Consultant provides input that is very easy for participants to understand.

The stages in the Audit Implementation consist of an Opening Meeting, Audit Implementation, and finally Closing Meeting. At the Closing Meeting, the Auditor must convey the results of the audit to the Auditee and provide input aimed at helping the Auditee in solving existing problems.

On the same occasion, the Auditee is expected to determine the implementation time of corrective actions in accordance with the results of the Internal Quality Audit so that the Quality Management that is built remains directed and runs well in accordance with organizational goals.
