Medan, August 4, 2026 — The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Library held Basic Canva Training Batch II as part of the 2026 Information Literacy Program. The training, held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the 1st Floor Conference Room of the USU Library, provided participants with an opportunity to enhance their graphic design skills and develop creative and informative digital content.
The training featured Tengku Izynovansyah, S.S.I. as the instructor. Participants were introduced to various Canva features, basic design principles, and fundamental techniques for creating engaging and communicative visual content.
In addition to receiving theoretical materials, participants were given the opportunity to practice using Canva directly through hands-on activities. This practical approach provided an interactive learning experience while helping participants understand how to apply basic design principles to create content that is ready to be used and published.
The activity reflects the USU Library’s commitment to expanding the scope of information literacy. In the digital era, the ability to process and present information visually has become an important skill, particularly for students in supporting their academic activities, organizational work, and professional development.
Basic Canva Training Batch II also served as the closing activity of the Information Literacy Program as part of the USU Library’s 2026 Holiday Program. Throughout the program, various learning activities were conducted to provide participants with additional knowledge and practical skills during the academic break.
