The event was opened by Mrs. Laila Hadri Nasution, S.Sos., M.P., Head of USU Library, who emphasized the importance of journal publications as part of advancing research and disseminating knowledge. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Lim Khee Hiang, Senior Manager: Partner Success & Customer Relations (APAC), who shared valuable insights on strategies for publishing journal articles—from selecting the right journal to tips for successfully passing the review process.

The participants, consisting of lecturers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as librarians, created a collaborative atmosphere full of a learning spirit. The session was filled with interactive discussions, case studies, and Q&A sessions, providing participants with practical guidance on preparing quality manuscripts, choosing the right journal, and overcoming common challenges in the publication process.
