Usu Library Holds Ieee Publishing Solution Workshop

MEDAN – The University of Sumatra Utara Library held an IEEE Publishing Solution Workshop on Monday, September 24, 2018, in the Conference Room on the First Floor of the USU Library. The event started at 08.00 AM attended by 100 participants from Postgraduate Students and Lecturers from the MIPA, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Study Programs, and several USU Library Librarians.

The speakers were Mr. Edward Kennedy and Mr. Barry Edmonds who came from IEEE Malaysia, and Mr. Richard Chandra from IEEE Singapore. The three were accompanied by Mr. Hardi Sukardi from IEEE Indonesia.

The workshop was opened by the Head of the USU Library, Mr. Dr. Jonner Hasugian M.Si., and hosted by the host Evi Yulfimar S.Sos. The event ran smoothly and orderly until the end. In his speech, the Head of the Library said that this training activity is important for Students and Lecturers so that they can use the IEEE E-Journal subscribed to by the USU Library as much as possible so that Students and Lecturers can produce quality scientific writings/works.

Participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in the Workshop activities held by the USU Library. This can be seen from the many questions in the question and answer session at the end of the event. The event ended at 12.00 WIB. The event was closed with a group photo of the workshop participants and the speakers.
