This was conveyed by USU Vice Chancellor I Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosmayati, MS, through the Head of the USU Public Relations, Promotion and Protocol Office Elvi Sumanti, ST, M Hum, in his office, Wednesday (9/1). USU Vice Chancellor I asked schools to pay special attention to this matter, considering that students will not be able to take part in SNMPTN if the PDSS is not filled in according to the deadline that has been set.
“PDSS is a database that contains school track records and student academic achievements,” said the Head of USU Public Relations.
The requirements for participants who fill out the PDSS are SMA/MA/SMK grade 12 students in 2019 who have superior achievements, and who meet the requirements determined by each PTN. Participants must have a NISN and be registered in the PDSS, and have semester 1-5 report cards filled in the PDSS.
Elvi Sumanti, ST, M Hum, added that SNMPTN registration will begin on February 4-14, 2019 and the selection results will be announced on March 23, 2019. “All information about the acceptance of new students through the SNMPTN pathway can be accessed via the page www.snmptn.ac.id. We hope that schools and the entire community can observe it carefully,” said Elvi.
According to Elvi Sumanti, ST, M Hum, the ranking system in SNMPTN will later be carried out by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT). The institution from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education is tasked with carrying out the SNMPTN and SBMPTN selections.
“They will rank the students who have taken the selection based on their subject scores. Students who meet the requirements will be allowed to register for SNMPTN 2019 according to school accreditation,” he said again.
Elvi said that USU’s Vice Chancellor I also reiterated to schools to fill out the PDSS correctly and not cheat. If there are indications of cheating, including by manipulating report card scores, then the students and schools concerned will be disqualified.
