Medan – The Library of the University of Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed a visit from the Vice Rector for Human Resources, Finance, and Information Systems, Dr. Muhammad Arifin Nasution, S.Sos., M.SP., on Monday, 29 June 2026, to review the facilities, infrastructure, and services available at the USU Library.
The visit was warmly received by the Head of the USU Library, Prof. Dr. Syahril Efendi, S.Si., M.I.T., accompanied by the Library Secretary, Sundari, S.Sos., M.Si., the Manager of IT Support and Technical Services, Ray Ansyari Margolang, S.T., and the Manager of Library Services, Irna Maulina Siregar, S.Sos.
During the visit, the Vice Rector toured various library facilities, service areas, and supporting infrastructure to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current library services and their role in supporting academic activities within the university.
In addition to the tour, the visit included discussions on strategic initiatives to further enhance the quality of library services. The discussions focused on strengthening information technology-based services, optimizing library facilities for the academic community, and developing service systems that are more effective, efficient, and responsive to the evolving needs of users.
