USU Hosts the 2019 Plenary Session of the Academic Senate Council of Legal Entity State Universities (PTN-BH)
Medan – USU Public Relations: The University of North Sumatra was appointed as the host for the implementation of the 2019 Plenary Session of the Academic Senate-Assembly of Legal Entities State Universities. The activity, which was attended by delegates from the Academic Senate from 11 PTN BH, took place from 18 to 19 February 2019, at the Student Center of the University of North Sumatra. The Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph. D., Ak, is scheduled to attend to open the event on Monday (17/2) morning. The eleven PTN BH are the University of North Sumatra, the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Indonesian Education University, Airlangga University, Diponegoro University, Padjajaran University, Hasanuddin University and the Sepuluh November Institute.

Minister of Research and Technology Expects Universities to Have Flexibility and Change Their Mindset
Medan – USU Public Relations: No less than 107 delegates from 11 Academic Senates of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH) throughout Indonesia, attended the Opening of the Plenary Session of the Academic Senate Assembly (MSA) of PTNBH 2019, which took place at the USU Student Arena, Monday (18/2). The Plenary Session which was held until Tuesday (19/2) was opened by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph. D, Ak, which was marked by the beating of a gong. On that occasion, the Minister of Research and Technology also appeared as the keynote speaker.

USU Prepares to Enter Cluster One in the 2019 Indonesian University Rankings
MEDAN – The University of North Sumatra held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) event entitled “USU in the 2019 Kemenristekdikti Ranking”, which took place in the Academic Senate room, USU Central Administration Bureau Building, 3rd floor, Medan, Wednesday (30/1). The event was opened directly by USU Chancellor Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, SH., M.Hum., and accompanied by the Vice Chancellors. Also attending the event were all elements of the Academic Senate leadership, the Board of Professors, and the Board of Trustees. Other participants consisted of the Deans of Faculties and their Deputy, Directors of Institutions and Work Units within USU, and the USU Ranking Team.

USU Holds SNMPTN/SBMPTN 2019 Socialization in 18 Regencies/Cities across North Sumatra
MEDAN – HUMAS USU: To provide a more detailed understanding of the schedule and procedures for the 2019 Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi (SNMPTN), Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK) and Joint Selection for State University Entrance (SBMPTN) to principals and students of SMU/SMK/Equivalent, the University of North Sumatra (USU) is carrying out a Socialization activity related to the material, to 18 regencies/cities in North Sumatra. The activity took place from 15 to 18 January 2019, where Medan City was the last city to carry out the socialization, which took place at the USU Community Service Institute (LPPM) Building, Jl dr Mansur Medan, Friday (18/1).
